Love this, why is not a default on Chrome? This is what I was needing as I'm virtual and the gain picks up more noise than needed
Thanks you. It's a shame that someone had to write an app to disable a "stupid" feature that Google Chrome purposely implemented. I just wish Chrome would have an option to turn it off. I don't simply want it off for a few website, I want it off all the time, for every website. The Automatic Gain Control feature should not exist in the first place.
You made my day bro! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much. I have spent 1 year trying to weed out the various apps that auto eff with my mic gain. Windows 10 needs this setting. Thanks again.

WHOEVER MADE THIS GOD BLESS YOU
Works wonders. I've been trying to do a voice recording through an online recorder as requested by an employer and Chrome kept lowering my mic volume. I couldn't hear myself in the recording but got fixed after getting this extension. This helped a lot! Thank you.
As far as I know, this extension is the only solution for this problem. Hats of to you Joey
Thank you!!! Thank you!!! I was getting crazy with the automatic gain control! Remember to allow the extension in each tab that wants you control your microphone.
The entire Chrome project needs to be transferred to Joey. Google is incompetent.
Works on linux 5.4 (Manjaro) as well. Thank you my man for making this
Awesome, dont know why Meet team let that happend ? Thank you, Joey Watts You saved my life
Hi, thanks for this extension, may i know can i self host the extension?
EDIT: I am an idiot! You have to activate the extension. If the instructions don't automatically open in your browser (as it was my case) after you added the extension, read this. Usage Visit the domain that you would like to disable automatic gain control on. For example, to disable the gain control for Google Meet, visit https://meet.google.com. (Ensure that you're logged in, so it doesn't redirect you to a different origin.) Click on "Disable Automatic Gain Control" in the extensions list. It will request permission to access the site. Once the permission is granted, the page will refresh and the icon in the extensions list will show a badge which reflects that the extension is activated. To disable the extension on the domain again, simply select the "Disable Automatic Gain Control" extension from the list again. It will refresh the page and the "On" badge will disappear. --------------------------- Previous review Installed this today. It changes nothing. When I do a Google Meet, my mic volume is adjusted in Windows. I will leave the extension in the hope that an update will fix this, because people are seeming to love the extension. Fingers crossed.
it worked perfectly! Thanks a lot!
