“Open in Google Chrome” extension is a browser extension that opens the current tab or links in the Google Chrome browser. Using this extension you can send links to Google Chrome without the need to manually copy and paste links. It is even possible to define keyboard shortcuts for easier access (Check the options page for more info).
Features:
Send the current page to Chrome by pressing the action button
Send a link in a page to Chrome from right-click context menu
Send a link to Chrome that matches the provided list of hostnames, URLs, or words.
Optionally close the source tab when push to Chrome
Optionally open the link in both browsers

Hi, Thank you 1000 times for your work and this add-on Andy. However it has a bug when you use it from an opened email in GMail: the links inside the emails do not opent in Chrome but in a new Firefox tab. Could you correct this? As this behaviour makes the add-on totally useless to me. Also notice that your equivalent add-on for Opera does not suffer this bug. All the best, Axel.

Add-on does just what it says and only takes seconds to set-up. Works flawlessly along with the "Open in Firefox" extension I have installed and have been using in Google Chrome for a about a year now.
用户
Requires access to your data for all websites, exchange messages with programs other than Firefox, Download files and read and modify the browser's download history. None of that is needed. This is just an addon to get information, would recommend not to install.

Cannot find a way to install the extra program this requires on a Mac. Have some experience of using Terminal and am very IT literate, without being an IT professional, but can not get this off the ground with the instructions supplied.

This appears not to be working: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Waterfox 56.2.0 (64-bit) I get the "One more step" page and "Check Connection" returns "Cannot find the native client". I have tried it with /usr/bin/google-chrome, /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome and blank for the native client (/usr/bin/google-chrome is in the $PATH).

This (and Andy's "Open in FireFox" for Chrome) is working just great for me! FireFox 60, Chrome 67, macOS 10.13, and locally-installed Node.js 10.

Doesn't work at all. I have the latest builds of FF Quantum and of Chrome and latest Win 10 build and after installing this and trying it, it doesn't do ANYTHING.

After about 2 hours trying to get this to work. C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe finally worked! (chrome://version) typed in the ''address'' bar will show you the EXECUTABLE path. But! When I put in my path exactly as shown (C: \Program Files (x86) \Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe) space between the semi colon and x86 DID NOT WORK!!!! C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe is how I got it to work....

Update: It does work after all. The instructions for this add-on are terrible. There is an extra step they don't tell you to do: You need to go into the add-on's options, then under "misc" you need to set the "path to executable" to point to your Chrome.exe so it can connect to Chrome. I'm bumping this up to four stars because it does work (I really needed this, so thank you), but the directions need to be clearer. Thank you to "Anonymous user eb6512" who explained this process in his/her review. (Previous review: Doesn't work. Followed the directions exactly. Restarted Firefox. Clicking on the "Open in Chrome" button does absolutely nothing.)

Working as intended. Can't go wrong with it. PS: It appear that Firefox broke this addon two updates ago. It's currently working fine now. (57.0.4 64-bit)

It works. You have to follow the steps and install the package and then put in the chrome path.

As other reviewers said, you have to be sure to go to: -Tools > Add-ons -Under Open in Chrome, select Options -Under Misc, look "Path to the executable" & paste the path to your Chrome browser on your computer (make sure it ends w/"chrome.exe"--mine was: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe) Works well so far though, love the idea of not being limited to one browser! Much respect and appreciation Andy.
